Al was 19 working as a maple sugar farmer in 1979 when he heard of the plans for the movement to march on Wall Street, wrote this song, and performed it for 20,000 people at the rally in downtown New York. 33 years later he performed it again at a civil resistance workshop near the 2011 “Occupy Wall Street.” This is the recent recording.
